is there is any idea to replace the DB-9 with RJ-45 connector for serial interface.
for urgent maintenance like board fail, disable interfaces by wrong config etc. the RJ-45 its easy to connect it inside the box with out open the router board from the Enclosures, its also easy by install 20 Meter serial UTP cable and make the diagnostic remotely assume the board its on top of tower or etc.

are You sure, the serial is working over 20m and it’s easy to pull it down - and still works?
We are using rs232-rs485 adapters on boards what’s difficult to reach - and rs485-usb(serial) adapter on bottom side.
RS485 works over several hundreds meters (if not over 1000m), happily with 9600 or more (maybe not 115k2)
if you use 3 pin serial (TX,RX,GND) cross cable with good type of STP or SFTP cable you can reach 25M , but don’t use RS232-USB adapter its not reach 5M
and its good idea to use RS485-RS232 converter for long distance.
I’m use MOXA RS232 to Ethernet converter in most places that hard to access to mikrotik, in case of downs.
