Router booting up but not appearing in winbox

Hi Guys

Tried setting up a RB411 yesterday using POE. First mistake we made was we changed ethernet wires around. So it was wired on one end from 1-8, we wired they other side as 8-1 without checking properly. We connected it to power and rb did not boot up. We then saw what we did and changed the wires correctly.

The rb now boots up correctly, but it does not come up in winbox. Now and then it will appear in winbox for a split second, then disappear again. The green ethernet light comes on, the orange one flashes constandly at the same speed.

You think we have messed the rb up?

Log in via serial, and see what the console says.

Use a udp cable tester and check if the cable is correct. You can also try to remove the routerboard and connect it without the poe to your computer using a 18volt adaptor.
