Router doesn't appear in Winbox interface despite reset procedure

Hi,
I bought a Mikrotik RB750GR3 1 month ago. The problem is the rooter has not appeared in Winbox interface since 3 days, so the router is not accessible via Winbox.
Then I searched for the solution and checked many points but nothing. Here is:
-Winbox version used is 3.24
-Ethernet cables =>ok
-Reset the Mikrotik router with the reset button=>ok
-Ethernet in Public network mode =>ok
-Remove the fast power-up of laptop =>ok
-Windows firewall disabled=>ok

If anyone would have a new idea, I would be grateful.

Thanks in advance

The firmware is so old its almost comical if not the fact that you obviously didnt buy it new but from someone second hand.
Download the latest stable software and then USE NETINSTALL to make sure you are starting from a good clean (not hacked) firmware.
Come back when you need assistance after

@anav: The RB750Gr3 (MikroTik hEX) is a current device. Version 3.24 of Winbox is the most recent version of winbox that is available, the RouterOS version was not mentioned in the topic start. It’d be nice if you don’t insult fellow forums members, especially when your own information is wrong. The only useful mention in your post is the use of NetInstall to reflash the firmware.

@Tyrm: You can check out the NetInstall procedure here: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Netinstall

Did you use the correct reset procedure?

Fezzfeet right you are, I completely missed that ref Winbox version, My apologies to the OP!

Please post your config
/export hide-sensitive file=anynameyouwish

Without the config the only other thing I can think of ensuring the
subnet the router is on, is defined as a interface member be it the default LAN, or
one that identifies all your devices on the subnet
and IP Discovery is set to that interface list.

Are you trying to “find” the router by expecting it to show up in the neighbors list or did you save the IP in the Managed list? Personally I find that the neighbors list to be only slightly less useful than worthless. For example I opened it when I read this message. There are two Mikrotik routers (one of which is the same RB750Gr3 that you are using) and five Mikrotik switches on my LAN. It found two of the switches and neither of the routers. If that changes before I hit submit, I’ll update that…
Had you made either IP or firewall changes at the time that you could no longer connect? If it was still largely set for default, it will likely still be 192.168.88.1 (if I remember right). Try that with WinBox or a web browser.
Open a command prompt on your PC and type “ipconfig /all” (without the quotation marks). If your PC got DHCP address from the router, that should help identify if the router is live, and what it’s IP is. The router (if you have a typical home setup) will be the entry listed as DHCP server.
If you are technically savey enough to run an IP scanner on you LAN, see if you can find it. Another option would be to fire up WireShark and then reboot the router. If the router is live, you should see traffic from it. If either of those options works, then try connecting by the found IP address either with WinBox or a web browser (if you have not firewalled or disabled that).
And BTW, a good 10 minutes later, and the Neighbors list still only lists my RB260GS and CRS326-24G-2S+ (running SwitchOS).

Neighbours works well enough for me, the key is to ensure the vlan that holds all the devices is in each ip discovery list.

As for managed list, I tried it and got nowhere - bad password. I fear I played with ROMON in the past and I have an old password so locked out?
So what should one do if one cannot remember whatever master password was set in winbox??

I have never used RoMON, and I do not have WinBox save passwords, nor use the Master password.

My intention was not to use a master password for managed list but I must have put one in when playing and now seemingly locked out forever LOL.

First, thanks a lot for your feedback!
Here are my different answers

@FezzFest
I installed Netinstall and followed the tutorial. Netinstall doesn’t detect the router like Winbox.

@erlinden
Yes, I used the reset process many times only with the reset button, nothing happens.

@k6ccc
For the moment, I want to manage the router and access via neighbors list or the Managed list, doesn’t matter.
Yes I changed the firewall settings, only disabled and enabled, Domain network, private network and public network.
I used the ipcongig/all, for the Ethernet, 2 cases:
Case 1: Router is plugged to the laptop:
Ethernet adapter Ethernet:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : numericable.fr
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 54-BF-64-21-16-6B
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::e5ca:a731:b2b8:3ed3%6(Preferred)
Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.62.211(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 559202148
DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-26-60-A1-BD-54-BF-64-21-16-6B
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 89.2.0.1
89.2.0.2
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled

Apparrently the IPV4 ip adress is generated aumatically, it’s not 192.168.88.1 in spited of reset done.

Case 2: Router unpplugged
Ethernet adapter Ethernet:

Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : numericable.fr
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 54-BF-64-21-16-6B
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes

So, I think the router is working and detected by the laptop.

I don’t know to do a LAN scanner, but the only current LAN network is Laptop to router via Ethernet network. I tested with WireShark, the ethernet scope show0s up misshappen pulses, like wifi scope maybe it’s ok… What do you think?
Sorry, I don’t know switch OS.

@anav
The command line “/export hide-sensitive file=anynameyouwish” in the laptop terminal.
I haven’t used yet the romon mod on Winbox. But I reset each time the router.

Winbox continue to show up nothing in neighbours.

If you followed the correct factory reset procedure, i.e. Power down router, press and hold reset button while powering up router until usr light starts flashing (about 5 to 7 seconds) release reset button.

Then make sure you do not connect to ether1 of the router, but any other ether ports as there are default firewall rules blocking access on ether 1
