router is not showing in winbox

tommoarrow i had configured the 411 routerboard with two ip
one is for ethernet 192.168.1.50/24
second for wlan 10.0.0.5/24

but after one day i am trying to access the router then two ip comming in winbox that is wlan ip and second one is the same


now i don’t undersatand what to do

can’t log in through mac add of wlan card

can somebody tell me,how to log into the router???

because mac add of the router is not showing ???

Use the serial port to access the router and see where you misconfigured it.

Or reset (see documentation on how) and start again… :slight_smile:

check if the IP on ur PC is in same subnet at u have assigned to the router.

If it is, winbox discovery would show the IP of the router. If it is not, winbox discovery will show the mac address.

The only thing that might be the case is that if the PC and router are on the same subnet and also have the same IP. Thus we have a conflict. Sometimes winbox doesn’t shown anything in that case, sometimes it does show the mac..
Change the IP of your PC.

thanks for reply but you don’t read what i am saying :confused:
one ip is coming that is wlan ip (that i have configured for wlan) and it’s mac add and i cant log in through that (ether mac and ip add is not showing any more ).
please tell me solution ::::

get ur board down and do a reset. u have put some clumsy setup in the ip which is conflicting somewhere in ur LAN hence the issue

i read the fouram but don’t clear abut how to reset the board

plugging the power on
then hold the matel part preesing with screwdriver for a time when a short beep comes up
but this will damage the board or not.

because all light are coming ???

Short the metal beans like shapes with any metal wire or something makes sure it doenot touch ne whr else on the routerboard. then power on the board.

i dont think it will damage the board

i can’t reset the board at all
plz give me some more information on that??

this is the bad freature of the routerboard

it is not reseting at all

one thing the router board is not receiving the data packet.
so, is routerboard is dead??? :smiley:

Have you tried the serial port yet?
