Router is sending Deauth to wifi clients?

i have a mt router (no wireless int) , wired to two accesspoints (8602 wireless int’s), both MT and all running 2.9.27.

Everything works great but sometimes i will see this at the access point logs:

What i think is happening is:

00:02:6F:3D:F4:7E

and

00:0E:9B:24:4E:AA

are both wireless nic’s in the same laptop.

my question is why does this happen:

2006-07-24 17:18:49	Local7.Debug	70.145.115.175	wireless,info 4th--: wlan2: data from unknown device 00:0C:42:06:51:15, sent deauth

00:0C:42:06:51:15 is the mac address of my router which does not have a wirless int.

any ideas? i see this happen once a day or so.

tks

Any ideas??

I’m seeing this ALOT now…and on different APs…all say data from unknown device {mac address}

with the {mac address} being that of the NIC on my router

BTW: im running Proxy-ARP on the Eth interface as i need to vpn into the site.

tks

at the deauth time other clients working well?

pleace check if that laptop has no glitches or something.

as i have Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M3438 laptop - that deauth every 30 minutes. as this is buggy laptop, pleace check if that device is working well on another AP.

Its not specific to one client either…this seems to be happening alot..i mean if it was just the client and a wireless issue than what does the MAC address of the router’s lan (the router is completly sepearte..and infact does not even have a wireless card in it.) doing there?

any ideas?
