Router Lockup

Using a RB450G router. Servicing around 45 clients for Internet. Using Userman on the same device to authenticate clients with PPPoE. System seems to be running fine. However about 4 days ago it just started locking up. Can’t access router locally or remotely. Requires reboot to re-establish service.

Sometimes the unit will come back up on it’s own. But then lockup requiring reboot around 10 minutes later.

CPU load rarely exceeds 25% with average around 9%. I am unable to determine the cause. What steps can I take to discover the problem?

debug logging show the following repeatedly and rapidly.

getnextgetbulk 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.226 reps 0 runs 0
get 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.226

Then keeps sequencing to next number .2.226 .3.226

getnextgetbulk 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.226 means that an snmpwalk is running on some snmp agent inspecting your router. Do you have Dude gathering routerboard info via snmp to monitor your system or Zabbix? Try to disable /ip snmp and see if the system become stable.
