Sometimes, some routers working that are working fine for days/weeks/months are not receiving an IP address anymore from remote dhcp-server.
These are CPE’s that get their IP from the AP or adjacent router.
These are units being in use for long times and regurlarly. It happens with several (6.30.1 and later and 6.32.xx) ROS versions and on different routers (SXT, SEXTANT, QRT)
It is at random. Sometimes just ‘a’ CPE for ‘a’ AP-client network. Sometimes I’ve got a whole bunch in the same network.
All it needs it an mac-ping or mac-telnet and almost immediately the router asks and gets an IP again. After that its all normal. No need to reboot or reset. Usually after that works for weeks again.
Renewal times is usually set to be 12 hours, 24 hours up to 3 days…
Very weird behaviour that started somewhere after 6.30.xx ROS versions introduced
