Router OS and Zerotier Bridges

Good Day All,

I have 2 sites that I am trying to link using a hAP ac^2 (RBD52G-5HacD2HnD) on site one and a windows PC on the second site. The link is used to access a server that is used for Search and Rescue. The second site cannot get a public IP thus I cannot use DynDNS to resolve a FQDN to a IP and port forward. I do have a Public IP address and dyndns on site 1 and have setup port forwarding to a VLAN and IP address which the hAP ac^2 has.

I can ping the hAP ac^2 from the windows machine to the Zerotier IP on the hAP ac^2, the packet count and activity shows on the zerotier interfaces on the interface page and Zerotier menu, if I ping from my laptop to the local IP of the VLAN which is mend to then forward to the windows machine via zerotier the mikrotik shows activity on that VLAN.

Under NAT on the firewall I have put in a port forwarding rule to forward the ports from the VLAN IP address to the Zerotier IP of the windows machine. When I try to connect the client on my laptop to the VLAN IP on the hAp ac^2, the connection does not go through and I cannot connect.

post your config. sounds like you’ve done a lot of wrong stuff. there is no nat or port forwarding involved for zerotier. If you have default firewall rules the easiest way to get this to work would be to add zerotier1 (or whatever you named you zerotier interface) to the LAN interface list.
