Router OS Downgrade - 6.3 to 6.1

I attempted a downgrade of Router OS v 6.3 to version 6.1 on a CCR1036-12G-4S with tile architecture as follows:

1.I went to microtik website under downloads sections and downloaded the zip file : all_packages-tile-6.1.zip
2.I unzipped the folder and then uploaded the system-6.1-tile.npk file to Microtik Router under system → Files
3.I went to system -----> Packages , then clicked on downgrade.
4. The router prompted for a reboot.

After after clicking yes, the router is not finishing the reboot, the lcd screen displays the message : loading kernel…

Nothing is working and even after a manual power cycle, the router is not booting. It just displays the same message as above.

What should I do to atleast revert it back to a working version 6.3 that it was before I attempted the downgrade. Thanks.

Make netinstall.

Thanks for your feedback. I managed to complete the downgrade to v6.1 using net install.

I am downgrading to that version because I have another CCR router thats runs v 6.1 which is working correctly.

Basically this router with version 6.3 has problems with the sfp ports, only the amber light comes on when I connect any of the sfp ports, on winbox the interface is shown as running but the green light is not coming on and the interfaces doesnt work.

I would like to report that even after successfully downgrading to version 6.1 the sfp ports are still not working.

I am running version 3.27 firmware, any hints on what could be causing the problem?

Thanks

You should not downgrade below the version with which the router was manufactured. If you have problems, the update is normally more useful than downgrade.
