router os not responding to reboot command

Hi,

Did a search and couldnt find any reference to this happening with anybody else out there.

I have level6 routeros ver 3.28 running on a 6x86 platform. works fine and has been doing so for over 2 years.

Today I got all excited and uploaded the new DUDE BETA release. clicked on System - reboot in Winbox, answered yes and nothing. went in and tried the same using a terminal window , still nothing. Logged out of winbox, logged in from a PC with telnet, system reboot, yes still nothing. It just sits there happily running with no problems but refuses to reboot. I have no means to remotely power cycle the PC

Any body got any ideas? really dont fancy a trek out to power cycle the PC.

I’m afraid the only solution, local access to the router with ability to check console output from it.

:frowning: oh nuts, Never mind, thanks for the prompt reply. Any idea what might have caused the issue?

By the way, Love Mikrotik keep up the excellent work

Thank you for the comments.
Local access to the router could shed more light to the problem.
