I just bought RB500 and Level4 software with it. I have implemented Wi-Fi in 100 acres. APs are of SENAo and Radio Microtik. All Ap’s are registered with Microtik which is installed on base anteena with two Sectoral Anteenas and Amplifier.
Now I am confused how to configure the same software on a desktop as when i installed i found all modules are same as on Radio. So whats the difference ? I mean I ma totally confused how to make proper utilisation of MIcrotik Product.
As per said by installing Router OS on a PC u can use it as Firewall as a User management s/w as a Accounting Software. How to do all this.
Suppose I install two lan cards on a PC and terminates my internet link on one lan card and second for internal. Now how to configure Router S/w for all above mentioned features
you already have the mikrotik router device (routerboard), you don’t need other devices. all of the firewall/management happens on the device itself. just follow balimore’s given links
