Router Password & Settings

Hi.

Installed a new Hap ac lite router board last night and in terms of connectivity, all of our devices worked straight away (via Ethernet or WIFI).

Problem is, I want to know how to create a new password e.t.c. and look at any other settings.

As far as I can see, we just have a default IP address too.

From what I have found on the web, I’m supposed to enter 192.168.1.1 into my browser to change settings but the page never comes up whether by Ethernet or wifi.

Any help gratefully received!

I use winbox, using the IP address of mikrotik devices is not usual from what I gather.
Important thing is to
a. make sure you have the latest OS
b. only allow access to your router from the internal LAN via winbox or ssh strong.

Default config on MikroTik devices is 192.168.88.1 as gateway (i.e. the address assigned to router and the one you want to connect to).
