Router RB2011UAS-2HnD Concurrent users

Hello everyone,

I have installed RB2011UAS-2Hnd with Hotspot+Radius for around 250 users.

  1. I want to ask how many concurrent users it can support or how many simultaneous connections it can support?
  2. I have activated to generate graphs for each queues. The default memory and hard disk is it enough to support graphs generated for 250 users?

Can anyone give me a suggestion?

I cannot fully answer your question because I have never run a setup that is similar to your request however I can say that your limitation will be in hardware capability, if your running a high number of user and your resources are only moderately consumed then your fine. I don’t recommend running the RB2011 at high CPU loads. In regards to Disk space you can use the USB port to attach more storage.

Personally it sounds like your asking a lot out of this “low cost” device, don’t get me wrong I love mine but I use it as a home firewall and have sold these as small business routers but I use RB1100AHx2’s for heavier loads. Also if you are trying to put 200+ users on one AP then your clients are going to be begging for air time on the AP and getting very little. I would recommend multiple AP’s on various frequencies to divide the wireless traffic up.

Second the offloading to a wireless SYSTEM.

250 devices on the 2.4 from the 2011 ain’t going to do a thing. Aside from get you a ton of complaints.
