My home network consists of an hAPac acting as the system router connected to my ISP and to an CRS326 using the SFP port. The hAPac is also supporting Wireguard and CAPsMAN.
CAPsMAN is managing the 5G on the hAPac to two other devices (WAP-R, hAP Lite) on 2G. CAPsMAN will not manage the 2G on the hAPac, but the 2G is functioning not managed by CAPsMAN.
I am using IPv6 for inbound internet connections as my ISP is CGNAT.
Questions:
- Is there a way for CAPsMAN to also manage the 2G on the hAPac?
- Should I move the router functions (Firewall, routing, DHCP, Nameserver…) and ISP connection to the CRS326? (Probably no due to CPU capability)
- Should I move CAPsMAN to the CRS326?
- Should I move Wireguard to the CRS326?
I am also in the market for a router with wireless capability to install in my motorhome (just got Starlink). The hAPac would easily handle the requirements. If I move the hAPac to the motorhome, what replacement router could I get to upgrade the home network?
