Hi all.
I have a CCR1009-7G-1C-PC running 6.41.3. I have 3 inside/private IP subnets on it and 2 WAN subnets. We own 3 domain names, hosted at 1and1.com.
Yesterday one of the inside/private subnets stopped getting responses from one of our domain names, our primary website, using several browsers on many PCs. Requests would simply timeout. We determined that the other two inside/private subnets could still access that website, and so could the rest of the world. Also the problem subnet could not access any of the three websites with our domain names, but that subnet could access anything else on the Internet.
Pinging, tracerouting, checking for listening ports, and DNS testing all came back positive but still we could not see our webpage. We had not made a change on the router for weeks. There have been no known electrical incidents
Finally, we rebooted the router, and that fixed it. So two questions. What happened to this router and what should I do to minimize the chance of something erratic happening on this router again?
It is on a UPS. I update RouterOS regularly.
