I bought a crs112-8g-4s-in router switch. After updating to version 7.10, the device crashed and it doesn’t turn on. It doesn’t even show up in winbox, and it can’t even be reinstalled on that operating system with net install.
sometimes you have to put a simple switch between your PC and the MikroTik for netinstall to work
Kepp in mind the following information:
The reset button has these functions:
Hold this button during boot time until the user LED light starts flashing, and release the button to reset the RouterOS configuration.
Keep holding the button for 5 more seconds or until the user LED turns off, then release it to make the RouterBOARD look for Netinstall servers. The first Ethernet port is used for the Netinstall process.
Regardless of the above option used, the system will load the backup RouterBOOT loader if the button is pressed before power is applied to the device. Release the button before LED begins to flash, to only load the backup RouterBOOT without reset. This is useful for RouterBOOT debugging and recovery.
I try to reset but not happening and try with switch between my computer and router and icant reinstall os
i attached device photo led never off and reset not work
Console output says it’s trying network boot … so if you connect to ether1 a PC with netinstall application set-up and running, it should boot from PC and enter netinstall procedure …
