Router vs switch

I have been looking at routerboard.com at “routers” and “switches.”

What is the difference, advantage or disadvantage with the two. From what I understand you can use the CRS series as a router. Why would you want to use a RB2011 series over a CRS series.

Thanks, just trying to make sense of the difference between switches and routers with Mikrotik

In switch mode
There are cable speeds achieved with a great performance.
A router uses the CPU. The speed depends on the CPU speed.
You can also set up a router as switch board.
Then the performance equivalent to a switch.
With a router you can route packets and you have all the possibilities for routeros.
With a switch are you limited to switch mode.
