Hi everyone.
We have a core MT router connected to our ISP using BGP. Our system have 3 MT routers interconneted using OSPF without any problem, but when I try to connect the core router to the OSPF network it doesn’t work. From this core router I can’t see any neighbors (interface ether2), but I can do it from the other router (A). I have attached the pictures…
The core router (BGP/OSPF) and the router A are connected through a Ubiquiti Radio link, and the interfaces have set up 3 different networks, one of them is for the OSPF (ether2 for the core router and ether1 for router A).
The set up for the OSFP on the core router is the same as the other, so I don’t know if I have to do some changes in the BGP set up as well to make it work…
Thanks in advance.

Your ethernet1 is still called gateway. i think this is from the default config. Ithe default config has also firewall rules which block stuff on the ether1-gateway. If you have not removed those firewall rulese they block the ospf traffic
Thanks.
I removed all the filter rules from that router (A), but I still have the same problem… the coure router doesn’t get the routes from the OSPF network, but it seems to be OSPF communication (LSA).
Did you add the NBMA neighbors between the links?
Did you also add the OSPF routes between the 2 routers?
The 2nd and 3rd work correctly?
can you post your config?
Thanks for your answers.
I have 3 routers working with OSPF, but I only have problems between ther router A and the core router. I will check your suggestions and I will connect another MT router with the core MT router using OSPF. If that doesn’t work I think the problem is the set up on the core router..
use packet sniffer to fin out whether you see the hello from the other site. turn on debug logging for ospf. there can be other reason why they dont’ want to speak with each other. different subnetmask or mtu can be a problem for example.
I did the test with another new MT router, and I had the same problem..so the issue was in the other side (core router). I played with the firewall rules in the MT core router (last time I only did it on the router “A”, and one of them was not allowing the core router to use the OSPF protocol)… and now it’s working.
Thanks jaykay and ryohaines for your help
yeah firewall and OSPF can be complicated. on such routers i suggest no or only a very simple firewall config.
