Are there any plans for a faster version of the Routerbaord 1000 with perhaps a faster or dual core CPU? Like the “very small” rack mount design but need a bit more CPU head room.

you may want to search for PoweRouter =)
Chupaka, but that’s not a Mikrotik product ![]()
but it’s still 1U =)

Its a lot bigger then the RB1000. If I go that route I would just go with a supermicro compact 1u case and dual core 775 CPU since I only need two ethernet ports. Would be nice if Mikrotik added a RB1100 with dual core PPC or something in same compact design. Another nice thing is the RB1000 comes with level 6 license which I need anyway.

I have to say a few more ethernet ports would go a miss on the rb1xxx
or perhaps a SFP port or two?
Any idea if this is in the pipeline??
Cheers
I would (figuratively) kill for a revamped RB1000 with more speed and a switch controller, like the RB450G, but allowing more than 32 rules. That would be awesome. Add an SFP or two, and it will be a killer router!
32 rules?.. what rules are you talking about?..

I was refering to the upper limit of switch chip rules.
