hi, Im a beginner to mikrotik routerboard. I have a problem connecting to Mikrotik RouterBoard 1100AH. I use winbox but it cannot find the router. According manual, the default ip is 192.168.88.1. and I used same subnet but no avail. I have tried also to reset to factory default according to manual but still don’t work. I replace the cable to crossover but still I cannot connect. I have missed something or there is a problem in the hardware. Thank you very much.
Check the firewall and Antivirus on your computer. Disable the firewall and AV temporarily and see if you can connect to the router.
Can you ping the router from your computer?
Try to change the eth port you connect your router to.
With winbox, do a discovery (the … box next to the connect to line).
have u tried with mac address?
