RouterBoard 333 Point To Point Connection (MAX Throughput)

Hi:

I am testing the mikrotik RouterBO 333, I have to make a security project in my country (i am from Argentina), we need to install a few cameras with one radio link each one.

We are testing the througput that mikrotik can reach. Now… the question is:

I am using nstreme-dual-slave, and i get 64 Mbps (UDP traffic) half duplex (i suppose that when i am using nstreme dual, should be talking of amount of traffic Full Duplex), but when i send and recive packets the throughput fall down like an a half.

Why is that happening, if I am using two different radio links, one for TX and the otherone for RX?

Besides the max throughput that I can reach with TCP packets, using the same configuration, is 21 Mbps. Can i get more than that?

We are thinking to buy 100 RouterBoards for this project, but i test all configurations and i just can get those throughput, and not Full Duplex, just Half.

21 Mbps for tcp packets, will work fine, but i need full duplex. What could i do to get what i need?

Thank you.

Hi.

You can make multiple links and you can increase throughtput bonding interfaces.

I make this with a RB600 bonding 3 RB333 links. You get full duplex.. ; )

With RB333 you can arrive about 75 Mbps half duplex in UDP and 21-22 in TCP.. little more with RB600 cause its faster processor.

I think if you use a PC-engine with routerOS you can arrive about 150 Mbps half duplex with dual NSTREME and turbo mode.
