Hi.
I couldn’t find anything in the forum seach, so hopefully someone can verify this for me.
Will a RouterBOARD 44 work in a motherboard with a PCI-Express 16x slot?
I need to build a small 2x GigE + 4x 10/100 MikroTik and would like to use the Commell LV-673NS Pentium M Mini-ITX Mainboard.
Anyone try the RB44 in a PCI-Express slot or otherwise have first-hand experience with legacy PCI 2.2 compliant cards in PCI-Express slots?
Thanks!
-Rich
PCI and PCI Express are not the same form factor and are not interchangable.

Doh!
Okay, is there a 2 or 4port ethernet card available for PCI Express that anyone is aware of? I cannot find one at CDW or Pricewatch and Google isn’t returning much, either.
Thanks again!

You will have to beg for the driver to be added, but take a look at this one..

Look at the SEN2100 4X Gig in a PCI-Express.
Your board has 2X gig (100 or 1000) so with 4 Gig ports and run the onboards at 100 and add a wireless card and you are set !!
(Wireless comment is frm the smart A$$ in me… )
