I hve seen this prob with the RB500 Series boards..
It is NOT the RouterBoard (the screen you show looks more like a intel install…)
The cause (for me) wan the NIC on the “installation server”.
Try another NIC on the installarion source..
I wan using an onboard intel based NIC on a Compaq M700 and it would time out when the RB500 would drop its connection for a split second durring the installation, the M700 NIC would freak nad the installation would fail..
The fix was to install a Xircom CE3 NIC in the PC-Card slot and install via a X-Over cable..
WORKS GREAT LASTS LONG TIME !!!
So try using another NIC in your install server and you will have better results..
