RouterBOARD 532 using a battery bank -setting the jumpers..-

Hi,
I have a RouterBOARD 532 using as master AP with 4 CM-9 cards installed, 1 in 5.8GHz and 3 in 2.4GHz.
I want to use a Iota charger and 2 Deep Charge batteries (12V) as power source for my RouterBOARD 532.
The battery bank is about 15ft from the RouterBOARD, I also want to use POE

How do I set the jumpers?

Hi,

You simply make these jumper settings

set

  1. Jumper 3 and 4 to possition 2 and 3

  2. Jumper 5 and 6 to position 2 and 3


    these jumper setting giver your router board 532 the power feed combination of

  3. 11-24V DC input voltage acceptance

  4. POE input voltage acceptance

also remember that POE Standard is to use ethernet cables 4 and 5 as positive voltage and ethernet cable 7 and 8 as negative voltage . Ethernet cable is straight through but 4 and 5 and 7 and 8 carry DC volateg for POE function .
