I have built my first Mikrotik router based on RBM33G board.
I have used some spare WLAN/WWAN cards to building and now I have connected two laptop antenna cables to each of them.
But after tests I see that I have proper signal and I would putting them into any casing.
But… at this moment I have only 2 pigtails (TO RPSMA)
So - I would like to ask if connecting only one antenna socket (on each card) will be good and safe?
Long time ago someone told me that it is unsafe due to terminating the power on card, and it could be fire-risky.
I would like to close Mikrotik in case and later forget about it for few months…
so, if the antennas could be bypassed, that would be great.
Of course I am planning to use one antenna per wireless card
