RouterBoard CPU load maximum

Hello everyone.

We have RouterBoard (board-name: RB1100AHx2; version: 5.8 ) and use it as a transparent traffic shaper. CPU is working stable at 55-60% approximately from 9:00am to 10:00pm. Is it normal, or we need to do something with it ?

  • Bridging interface 11 an 12.
  • Source IP address based Simple queues. queue type -default. Approximately 100 (many custom UP and Down Speeds and need to see graphs).
  • Traffic Approximately 100-120mbps.
  • Only one IP firewall mangle for marking ICMP traffic.
  • No other services (NAT, routing etc.)

I do not see any problems from 60% CPU load, your router still has 40% of CPU unused.

I was wondering, if it was normal such a load for a log period of time.

Can you tell me what is a maximum CPU utilization thresholds, which we need to worry about ?
