Routerboard firmware recommended version

GrooveA 52HPn latest RouterBOOT firmware available on the product’s page is 3.14 (http://routerboard.com/RBGrooveA-52HPn).

GrooveA 52HPn latest RouterOs 5.x version is 5.26 that incorporates RouterBOOT firmware 3.07.

Which version is the recommended one to install on devices with RouterOs 5.26 for a production environment?

See the change log and discover if any new interest your case.

Thank you, I did not know there was a changelog for the RouterBOOT too. I found it here: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/RouterBOOT_changelog
But it is stuck at version 3.12, while in the GrooveA’s page I can download the 3.14 version only.

I would like an official reply by Mikrotik, because in the wiki I can not find anything about compatibility between the RouterBoot versions newer than the RouterOs incorporated one.

Mikrotik, please post an official reply.

99% of cases it doesn’t matter which Firmware version you have. All important changes are in RouterOS only.

It is recommended to use Firmware that is built into RouterOS (command “/system RouterBOARD upgrade”

You have old RouterOS version (5.25) that’s why you see only old firmware.

Thank you.

I am using RouterOS 5.26 and Firmware 3.07 that is built into it.
I suppose the 3.14 firmware will be built into the next RouterOS (5.27 and 6.13), then I will wait for the next official release before upgrading the RouterBoot.
