I am going to be deploying some mikrotik ap’s in coffee shops, bakeries, etc… They all we be using hotspots. I have several RB/433 and RB/411’s with level 4 licensing. I did see there is a limitation to 20 users. Is this only specific if you’re using mikrotik’s user manager? Does it apply is your using a RADIUS server? Thanks for the help.

HotSpot active users: 200
User manager active sessions: 20
That means you can have 20 User Manager active sessions (meaning that if User Manager is installed on the level 4 device UM as a server won’t authenticate more than 20 users). You can also have 200 active users on the Hotspot (meaning that 200 users can log in, with any mixture of local accounts, accounts authenticated against a UM server, or any other RADIUS server).
