RouterBoard "station-wds" kill the AP suddenly...

Hi…

Dear buddy,
have anyone facing the issue like us, we have the point to multipoint link…

a day, the ap is not reachable, then we uncheck the default authenticate to isolate the cpe (station-wds), then add the cpe one by one into the access list.

then we found one of the CPE is the root cause of killing the ap, then initially we tot is the customer network cause it, then we unplug the ap cable (unplug from the router, then connect to the laptop) connect it to the laptop with add the problem cpe into ap access list, then laptop can login to the problem CPE.

then we disable the CPE ethernet interface, the laptop can ping and login to ap and can see other cpe with no issue.

but when we connect the ap cable to the router again, the other client and ap is not reachable and all the clienct cannot go to internet as well.

at the end, we have to delete the problem cpe from access list, then all the client is back to normal.

this is not the first time, when we bring back the unit back to office with same setup test, we can’t see anything from the torch.

what can be cause this? if we create the supout.rif file send to support, for sure they will say there is no problem and the configuration is correct.

this is something wired and no way to resolve it and it’s not able to send for RMA.

appreciate for you sharing or is there any antivirus can be install for the routerboard or firewall rule can stop the routerboard to facing this issue?

thanks.
