I have had a few RB433’s coming back from the field, unable to boot. Now I managed to reinstall RouterOS using netinstall without problems, but I am concerned about this. What may cause this to happen, and how can this be prevented.
Are these drawn up in an area where many thunder and lightnings.
Power supply its ok?
I know no explanation for this case.
These are used in mines. Now I know the power supply used is a little dodgy, that was also my first suspicion, and that has been fixed in a new revision of the product these boards are used in. I do believe that was the problem, and that is the only thing that needs to be fixed in the new design.
