Hello.

if your just starting Mikrotik (welcome!) then I suggest 3.x version. Why would you want to learn using the old version just to upgrade in the near future? some people might say that 3.x isnt as stable yet, but for the most part its fine.
Thank You Changeip!
I will welcome other opinions also please.
Bledar, I’m having serious troubles with queues and mark packets (ip/firewall/mangle) in v3.x versions, 2.9.51 works, and is stable.
Changeip, what board do yo use?? I use board 4xx or 600 with 3.14 and aren’t work like 1xx with 2.9.51.
Thank you Archibaldo for your help!
I think will going to 2.9.51
I use most all of the basic functions of the mikrotik: routing, mangling, dynamic routing, hotspot, queueing and have to say.. for the few bugs that have cropped up in 3.X I still prefer it over 2.9.51
The new features are great and most bugs have now been ironed out since the original 3.X release.
I’m agree with you, but we have to found an answer still: What to do with RB600, It suppose supports only V3.x and higher.
If I will buy RouterOS version 3.13, I will might upgrade OS for free till version 5.x, right?
What about if I buy RouterOS version 2.9.51. Till which release may upgrade for free RouterOS?
Thanks.
Could you help those of us out who have been using 3.x without issues for a while now and give us an example of a configuration that works on 2.9.51 that does not work on the 3.x series? I’d like to know what features are still not functioning in the 3.x series…
