RouterOS 3 Stability

Hi ppl,

Someone is using the RouterOS 3 in any production enviroment?

I need to put online 2 machines in about 20 days that will use ipsec, ipip, vrrp, l2tp some firewall rules and routing, but the client only uses dell machines.

And I can’t find any actual dell model (server chassi) that has ide disks, only sata.

We are thinking about the dell poweredge 860: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=04&kc=6W300&l=en&oc=becwnk1&s=bsd

Someone has any comment about this? AFAIK this is a very basic setup, someone is using this funcionalities in v3 without problem? and the SMP and SATA support? is working fine?

Thanks in advance.

I have MT3 in one place, on a not-so-busy router and it crashed once, frozen. In second spot it crashed very rapidly; differences: marginal signal, OSPF and 3 wireless interfaces. Too bad it generated 33-byte supout.rif :frowning:

So: just try it, if it doesn’t work, you can always downgrade to 2.9.41.

unfortunately downgrade is not an option, because the machine will be SATA without LEGACY support.
:frowning:

i suggest you to install routerOS v3.0beta and try features you need, and upon this evaluation consider - it is possible to use or not.

sadly enough - this is only available solution for you, as in other configuration this might work or might not

Can you install a promise or wd IDE card ?
