Need help, I just turn up PC with MB Intel Server S1200BTL with routeros 5.24 x86 but I got problem cause only one eth detected by routeros.
I check to intel website that one interface use :
Gigabit Ethernet PHY 82579 (eth1, mac address : xx.xx.xx.xx.63.20) and
Gigabit Ethernet Controller 82574L (eth2, mac address : xx.xx.xx.xx.63.21), info by intel that 82574L mac will +1 from the PHY interface.
I check all mac from BIOS
the eth1 is detected by routeros (on /interface) but the eth2 is not, I was make sure on BIOS setup of MB and all NIC (1 and 2) was on enable status, even eth2 not detect on routeros but when I plug utp cable and the other side connected to active device like PC the LED indicator of eth2 port is on, my assume the port is UP, but why not detected on routeros.
Anyone can help me what the problem?, whether routeros 5.24 x86 not support Gigabit Ethernet Controller 82574L?, thank you.
I was fix the problem, I upgrade the RoS version from 5.24 to 6.0rc9, even I know this is seem release candidate (better than beta) but with this my problem is gone, all interface detected on /interface.
Little bit funny on the name of interface, all interfaces name with ether1, usually if we have 2 interfaces name will be ether1 and ether2, though with same name but with different mac address @interface.
Conclusion of me : Gigabit Ethernet Controller 82574L is work with RoS 6.0 even I not yet test with live on the running network.
