RouterOS 5.7 installation problem - no harddrives found

I’m not able to install RouterOS 5.7 on HP Compaq 6005 Pro PC (P/N: XG068EA#BED) which has AMD Phenom II X2 B55 3 GHz, 2 GiB DDR3 1066 MHz, AMD 785G chipset. The PC boots normally to Windows 7.

After booting with the installation CD, ISOLINUX says:
Looking for harddrives …
FATAL ERROR: no harddrives found

BIOS (the newest, ver. 1.15) shows the following configuration:
SATA0: Samsung HD502HJ
SATA1: CDDVDW TS-H653T
SATA EMULATION: AHCI

I tried to change the SATA emulation to IDE but to no avail.

Does this error sound familiar to anyone?

BTW, I was able to boot the installation CD on an old PC (MB: MSI 845E Max2 Series, Intel P4 2.4 GHz, 768 MiB DDR 266 MHz) and installed RouterOS 5.7 successfully.

I’ve had this problem before, you can try moving one of the harddrives to the other box, install on that then move it back to the main box.

Don’t know exactly why this occurs. We actually keep a dedicated box for doing our installs just because it makes it quicker and easier.
