Somehow USB does not seem to be working with 5.0 beta 1 on a RB433 UAH.
It doesn’t matter which device i plug in (modem, flash disk, …) it is not recognized in system resources usb, and umts modems also don’t generate a serial port and ppp client.
So, is it possible that USB is completely broken in 5.0 beta1?
Did that a few minutes ago, should already be in your ticketing system
Additional info:
I just did an upgrade from 4.5 to 5.0 beta1 with the usb modem attached during the upgrade.
after 5.0 beta1 boots up, the usb serial port is still recognized and working.
if i unplug/replug the usb modem, the serial port is not recognized anymore, and reboots do not fix it.
OK i just tried another usb flash stick and it works.
well, maybe the other one is broken.
I think the modem driver is still working, because if I upgrade from 4.5 to 5.0 and the modem is connected, it works normally after the upgrade until I unplug it for the first time, afterwards it is no longer recognized. well, maybe some strange hotplug issue…
The first flash drive worked in v4.x? If yrs, then plug it in the v5 and make the support output file and send it to us. Maybe you have a support output file from v4.x where that flash drive was working?
About the usb modem, after remover try to delete the port and reboot the device and check again. We will look into that issue.
R52NH 433 AP, R52N 411 client.
Changing the AP to 10MHz or 5MHz mode apparently doesn’t change the channel width. The CPE associates just fine without changing channel width and continues to move too much data for half and quarter channel.
