I have a couple clients with MS Hyper-V 2008R2 and 2012. I have tried both RouterOS 5 and RouterOS 6 without any luck.
I use legacy network card in Hyper-V, the network interface is shown but there is no traffic on the interface. I searched the forum and found stuff from years back without any success. I am needing a simple VPN and so don’t want to add more devices in the network if I can help it like a Routerboard.
I know the drivers on the Client ISO works fine for CentOS Linux (using Red Hat RPM). I know MS can be a pain in this area to deal with, but sure there can be some form of solution.
This is revenue for Mikrotik in the form of RouterOS PC software licences and I will pay for 3 today with Hyper-V support.
I see the support is dated from 2011 and a lot has happened since then.
I also don’t see IT IS NOT supported or will never be supported in the future in that thread.
I also not sure how MT work in terms of if there is enough demand for a something they can allocate resources…
I had a VM file with ROS 3.3 which it was working with Hyper-v and Legacy Network card, properly. But today i upgraded that VM to version 6.0 with formatting disk and installing ROS from ISO file
and now it’s not working and there’s no ROS version 3.3 anymore!
It’s a politic i guess.
I have 5.24 around and ROS see my 2 adapters, but no pings anyway…
thats so pity, a task to support one more network card you know.. but it seems to be deleted
