RouterOS 6rc3 using "old" kernel 3.3.5 instead 3.4

Hi,
regarding to newsletter today: http://download2.mikrotik.com/news-42.pdf
it says that RouterOS 6rc3 has latest kernel with drivers (3.3.5), which is not true, latest is 3.4 with additional drivers which is few months old kernel and still not implement in RouterOS.
I believe this is big feature, since drivers are included for Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization, and MikroTik can do the routing job being inside virtual machine (which last time worked with RouterOS 4.x).

Also there is separated thread that speaks about it in feature requests few months ago.

Please do something about making kernel 3.4 available inside final RouterOS 6

Kind regards

by saying “new” we mean relative to what was in v5

Any changes in rc04?
Looks like mikrotik team doesn’t know much about problems in HyperV withaut good software router

We have no plans to make support for hyper-v. I thought this was already clear.

mikroTIK VS microSOFT xD

You don’t have to support it. Just don’t disable it.

I would agree, no support, just don’t disable if that is possible with the later kernel version. Frankly, I’d be fine with enabling the “Legacy NIC” like in 4.17. I’m even considering running 4.17 if I can. These VM’s are just doing basic NAT, firewall, routing features.

I think the emulated NIC emulates a pretty common chipset that works with most Linux distributions.
