RouterOS BGP Feature question

Hi all.

Cisco as some bgp feature that extends the functionality of the BGP Local-AS.

Does routerOS support a feature similar to replace-as?

Cisco conf:

neighbor 10.3.3.33 local-as 300 no-prepend replace-as

thank you.

I am not an expert, but I have not seen this feature in ROS … I am going to say no I don’t believe so…

Why do you want to repalce AS in a router? If you Connect to 2 routers, and want to replace AS between this 2 routers, just Connect using different AS numbers. Replacing a forwarded frame With a New AS make no sence?

Or do you mean to have confederation? You can run confederation, inside Your own network, using Your ripe/arin eg AS number as conferderation “number” and have Your own internal AS, distrubuting this. eg:

Global Peering AS 12345|Internal peering AS1 - Internal Peering AS2 - Internal Peering AS 3. Running confederation make this as internal use of Your AS 12345, With no need to “change AS”

Just wanted to know if Mikrotik ROS had some kind of BGP Support for Dual AS Configuration for Network AS Migration, this is a transparent feature to a customer peering sessions, it allows the provider to merge two autonomous-systems without interrupting customer peering arrangements. later on the customer peering sessions can be updated during a maintenance window or during other scheduled downtime.

No problem if it dosen’t  just wanted to know.. since i didn’t find a way to do it in ros 6.x

BGP confederations does that.
