We just recently installed a Router Board 750 into our current wireless network to better manage its users. Two days ago, there was a new installation and no matter what we tried the unit could not obtain an IP address from our Mikrotik. After two days of scratching our heads we tried spoofing the units MAC address and low and behold it worked. To explain, the units I am referring to are Tranzeo Wireless Radios and it was receiving perfect signal from the broadcasting AP but could not access anything further due to no IP. We have looked at every possible place in the Mikrotik to see if something had accidentally been placed in the configuration to no avail. The MAC for this unit was no where to be found. Although our work around is functional, something is causing this…I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this, or if there is a solution But any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated…
