RouterOS broadcasting an old SSID along with the new SSID

A couple of months back I changed the SSID on my MikroTik (Routerboard 433AH with an R52H). However, I noticed on my laptop that I could now see both SSIDs available. The new one had a strong signal and the old one had a rather weak signal. I thought that this was just a freak thing because I had previously connected to the old SSID network with my computer. However, I have since had people come over that pulled up their computers and were able to see both SSIDs as well with the old one having a weaker signal than the new one even though they had never connected to either network. This makes me think that somehow the MikroTik is still broadcasting the old SSID. Is there something I may have missed that could be causing this?

your neighbor trying to act as a man in the middle? If you turn off your router wireless does it still show up?
