I just installed the latest RouterOS version.
I configured the ip address, netmask, gateway and it went right.
But after a while I couldn’t connect to the routeros via WinBox, actually the RouterOS Server doesn’t response (when pinging)
Can you please help me?
If you set a fixed IP for your client (laptop/desktop) connecting to the Mikrotik unit, then open Winbox, can you connect to the Mikrotik via its MAC address?
This is a very cool function of Mikrotik’s Winbox.
Also, be sure to use your correct admin/(blank) password for a new Mikrotik unit or whatever you set previously if you changed before upgrading.
Which IP have you set ? LAN ? WAN ?
If you have changed LAN IP then probaly you have not reconfigured DHCP server to match new LAN IP so you need to connect with Winbox via MAC address … in Neighbours tab wait till you router will be shown with its current MAC and IP addresses … click on MAC address instead of IP … it will be copied to “Connect to” field and then try to connect to router and reconfigure it.
