RouterOS crashes when Public interface plugged in

Fresh install of 5.6, just a local and Public interface, basic firewall rules etc. Seems to be getting slammed on the Public interface and then reboots the pc, sometimes every other minute. Unplug the Public cable and it is fine. Am I missing something obvious?

You don’t have web-proxy enabled do you? Try torching the interface before it crashes and see what is hitting it.

no web-proxy, but I have determined that the ROS works fine on a different (1.0mb) connection, but crashes repeatedly when connected to a 8mb connection. Maybe an MTU level or something? I don’t see any packet loss, but it won’t stay up long enough to do much… I’ll have to go look up Torch, I’ve never used it.

You can also turn on auto-supout so it will automatically create a supout file when it crashes, then send that to support@mikrotik.com

The router should never actually crash, something sounds very wrong.
