Looking threw the new wiki I noticed the “R52 diagnose” is there any chance of this being expanded on! It would be nice to know what a persons meter should be set to. I couldn’t tell from the photo!
Can someone please tell what type of meter is showen and what it set to?
from my electronic background the photo in the wiki is measuring whether connection is shorted ( low resistance value) or open high resistance. So any multimeter capable of measuring resistance can be used. Multimeter is set to measure resistance
The first photo - very low resistance (0.004 ohms - small value is measured, probably meter lead resistance ) or shorted connection between the two points. indicating a damaged .
2nd photo - high value resistance or open circuit.( .OL ) good radio, the 2 point is not shorted. the body of the radio is usually ground point.
The was some discussion in the forum where you could repair/replace the small component so that its not shorted anymore.
