RouterOS on non Mikrotik hardware

Hello,

I stumbled upon the following device (https://store.gl-inet.com/collections/travel-routers/products/gl-ar300m-mini-smart-router?variant=3097496944667), which seems to have the same SoC as the mAP (QCA9531)
I’m curious if it would be possible to run RouterOS on this? The difference being that the GL-AR300m can be powered by micro USB while also taking a USB stick

Same question for https://www.gl-inet.com/mifi/ which runs on Atheros AR9331, same as RB951-2n. The MiFi has LTE while being powered by an internal battery. I would love to have a Mikrotik device like this!

Thanks for the help

What about putting there rb941 instead? Or anything else that fits other requirements?

MikroTik supports only own hardware in RouterOS (except in x86 version). If you’re feeling adventurous and have a lot of time to spend, you’re welcome to try. But you can’t expect it to work flawlessly (if at all) and nobody from MikroTik will help you. So it’s doesn’t make much sense beyond hobby project just for fun.
