RouterOS reports client as "1Mbps-SP"

Hi all, we have ROS v3.7 on our wireless transmitters. When logging into one of these boxes with winbox this morning I see the wireless client tables report “1Mbps-SP” for the signal of one of the connected clients.

The 1Mbps is simple, but what does the SP stand for?

Short Preamble.

Thanks InoX,

We had worked it out soon after this post

Has anybody tested the difference between short Preamble and long Preamble ? They say Long Preamble goes farther… -Jordan

No diffrence in it is only amout of bytes in frame header. With short preamble you will recieve higher troughput, but some stations that dont support SP will not work at all
