RouterOS - SonicWALL IPSec Tunnel Interface

Dear friends, I have a customer that use SonicWALL as its primary security solution.

They have a partner that was using SonicWALL to act as UTM as well as IPSec Tunnel Interface solution. We decided to use Tunnel Interfaces because of it’s flexibility and stability on packet exchange on IPSec VPN IP routed scenario.

Recently my customer’s partner changed their support team. This team decided to remove SonicWALL and put a Mikrotik RB750 router on its place.

I am trying to configure tunnel interface on Mikrotik. I recently acquired a CHR license. I am using it on Hyper-V. I was able to establish the VPN tunnel with IPIP Interface, SonicWALL shows the tunnel was successfully established, but traffic does not flow through IPIP Interface.

I have noticed that even with IPIP interface state UP, Mikrotik shows it as down (italic) at “Address List” screen.

I successfully ping IP address assigned to IPIP VPN Tunnel. I see that traffic is correctly routed to IPIP VPN interface. But, traffic to remote VPN subnets are routed to internet.

Could someone try to help me understanding what is going on with Mikrotik IPIP IPSec VPN Tunnel Interface?
