RouterOS supported hardware

There is a wiki page with the user tested hardware, but it’s not very popular. Let’s make this page useful and add tested stuff in there - you will help others, and others will help you!

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware

It is really great idea, especially for collecting multi-core working hardware, but I think it will be much easier if we will have command like “dmesg”.

thanks, i just know about that page too

More of a question, but it seemed appropropriate in this thread. Is there any planned support for current DS3 PCI hardware? I imagine that there probably isn’t very much demand for DS3 hardware these days, but it would be a tremendous benefit to us as we’ve got multiple DS3-fed locations that we’re forced to use Cisco hardware at; we greatly desire to use MT where ever we can. Thanks!

hi Mikrotik Team

which Routerboard support Sierawireless MC8775 or MC8781

Same here. I use riverstone/cabletron rather than cisco but same deal

anyone can tell me about this ? :frowning:

I also need DS3 support. Anyone know what cards work reliably?

Matt

I have MB elitgroup P35T-A and MT 3.7, its working fine, but integrated network adapter Intel 82566DC GigaLAN is not detected, is it possible to install driver?
If yes, can some one link me wher to find drivers for MT?

you can’t install drivers in RouterOS. you’ll have to wait until there are drivers in the linux kernel.

i want to know about this , or which other motherboard can support this card ?

yup… me too.

Hi,

Is it possible to also add mini-PCI cards to the list?

Regards.

it’s a user maintained list, so you can be the first one to do it.

Normis, there exists the possibility of adding methods of balancing of connections in the NAT? Example: Round Robin, Auto-Weight, weight weighted, and other. This is very important for ISPs.
Best Regards
Paul.

please make a new thread, this thread is about Supported Hardware Wiki

What kind of information would be useful in the wiki on supported hardware?
Maybe some of the more experienced MikroTik users could chip in on this? Maybe even add a template for useful fields in the wiki?

FCC ID on wireless cards can come in handy when doing research on hardware.
Number of PCI slots.
Chipset on motherboards.
NIC chip. - support 1500+ packet?
IDE or SATA support.

Any suggestions on a test procedure on x86 hardware?

no test procedure, I think the best would be to speak from personal experience - if you have used this chipset for a while, you can add it to the list with note that it works fine. something like that.

I have MB asus p5kc,Do you know when routeros can support Pata controller?

or never support? If it’s worth watting for routeros or i need change to another MB?

can you give me some advices?

thanks very much.
–my motherboards below
ASUS P5KC (Intel P35, 3x PCI, 3xPCI-E) 3.10 Not supported PATA controller (JMicron JMB363), ROS can boot from USB flash drive; internal ethernet not recognized.

Try with v3.14.
