RouterOS to SwOS

I have a CRS320-8P-8B-4S+RM fresh out of the box and when I try to change to Swos I get this error.
“Couldn’t change Settings - not allowed by device-mode (6)”
device-mode is set to advanced

I have already done a reset-config and that did not resolve the issue
I have also updated RouterOS to 7.18.2, also not resolved

Even after a factory reset various functions and settings are disabled by default, you to specifically enable and physically confirm them. See https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/spaces/ROS/pages/93749258/Device-mode

Yes. “device-mode” is set to advanced, but I’m sure “routerboard” under device-mode says “no”; see: the very last line on the help page that @tdw linked to.
