confirmed…same exact issues as reported above on our install attempt…
SMA
the demo lisens still expired when will i get a beta that works
*) wireless - added station-pseudobridge modes to do MAC NAT when
bridging over station mode link;
I’m against this !!!
I think that too many newbies will use it, and I don’t think it is stable enough for usage. Except if MT doesn’t do some magic out there
.
off topic - is the changelog good this time?
I would like to see the pseudobridge mode in 2.9 too!!!
I am in a rush to fight wds from my routed network…this could help without complicating too much my life…
Rosario
nothing is going to be added to 2.9, it will be fixed and then left in working state. nobody would like us to break something in the last 2.9 versions.
Now that we have finally added this feature you are telling that you are against it ![]()
where are the raving myriads of users who screamed they need this thing? ![]()
Hehe. ![]()
Well, probably not reading the Beta forum, I would guess.
As for myself, I am on record as saying that it would be a nice alternative to have, for those people who need it in a pinch. I still hold to that position, and thank you for adding this option to the future 3.0. I’m not recommending that the lazy among us use this as a substitute for WDS, which it is most emphatically NOT. But I do believe that there are times where the use of this option can be justified.
Again, thank you.

P.S. – Admit it: you were tempted to use the word “lunatics” in place of where you said “users,” weren’t you Normis? ![]()
Thank you!
I was trying to guess whether you added detail or really changed more than usual.
Andy update about this issue ?
High Regards,
Andrei
fixed in beta 3
This beta won’t run on RB112s either. Stuck at “Starting services…”.
GotNet, make sure you are using correct baud-rate settings for Terminal program or better try MAC-Winbox to access the router.
<<fixed in beta 3 >>
Great..but since Beta3 is not out yet, how does that help anyone install Beta 2? All installs from the ISO give errors…
PS - Changelog is great…
SMA
I definately appreciate the expanded changelogs. Tell Tully it was an excellent idea : )

Nope, both beta one and two brick my 112s. No winbox, no terminal. Beta1 would at least route data; beta2 won’t. My startup script that does some LED stuff doesn’t run either. Both run well on my WRAPs.
I reported the beta1 issue in the forum. I’d post the link but it took so long to bring up this screen I’m not going to push my luck.
