RouterOS v3 in Lobometrics OSB 952T (RouterOS 2.9.38)

Hello guys…

We are working in a project with Lobometrics OSB 952T (RouterOS rb500) with RouterOS 2.9.38, we need to use the new API from RouterOS v3, can we install v3 in our Lobometrics? There is anyone that did it ?

Any message about this will help us!

Hi,

yes you can. Select your system and put npk in Files menu. Reboot the Lobo.

Dont do it!

Believe me, wait for the official Lobometrics release. Current v3 OS can kill the Lobo (check Router OS changelog) and probably wont be covered by guarantee (non official upgrade). There is a bug on v3 that on certain upgrades (MIPS42 4Kc 400MHz boards) can kill comunications with the device, this is being solved but it is not yet done. I have no problems updating 2 Lobometrics 924.. (MIPS 400 Mhz)


Also Lobometrics RS series comes with v3.x firmware…
There is no official updates for RS series with v3 RCx and I updated all my Lobos with v3 RC6-8 or similar to v3.x not RC.. and only have benefits.


But.. well, you can tell this to Lobometrics Support and they can support you.
